The 2×12 × 14' #2 Kiln-Dried Hem-Fir is a longer-length framing member commonly used where additional span capability, straightness, and structural reliability are required in residential construction.
The 14' length is well suited for floor joists, headers, beams, stair stringers, deck framing, and garage or addition layouts where shorter material would introduce unnecessary splices.
Hem-Fir offers excellent workability and lighter handling compared to Douglas Fir, while kiln-drying improves dimensional stability and reduces post-installation movement. All material is pulled, banded, and stored dry at our Boise lumberyard.
